"When purchasing a vehicIe you are really buying into the dealership. Sales people will always treat you well, they want the sale. It's the service department that will bring repeat sales. I am so impressed with the whole Cardinal Kia team, but especially the service manager and GM Matt. I would not hesitate to purchase another vehicle from Cardinal Kia. In November 2021 I purchased a used 2020 Subaru with only 5,000 k from Cardinal Kia. When I brought the vehicle in to the Subaru dealer for the 10k service check, the service manager pointed out that the wiring harness had been badly chewed by rodents and very poorly repaired. It looked like the former owner had repaired the damage with electrical tape and got rid of the vehicle.
When I showed Matt the Cardinal Kia GM and service manager the damage he was floored. Matt promised to have the damage repaired to his satisfaction as if this were his personal vehicle. Nine months later I had electrical issues with my vehicle. This was long past my ninety day used vehicle warranty. Cardinal Kia and especially Matt were fantastic. They spent two days trying to sort the electrical problem out. Matt called me to apologize for the delay but there was a code they just couldn't clear. So Matt personally brought the vehicle to the Subaru dealer. Subaru said it was a recall issue and replaced the part no charge. A few hours after getting the car back from Subaru it quit running. I thought maybe that water had gotten into the repaired wiring harness somehow. The Subaru dealer assured me he doubted that was possible, because of the quality repair completed by Cardinal Kia looked factory. Turned out to be nothing more than a loose ground wire missed when the warranty part was replaced.
