The 2026 Kia K4 Hatchback

Coming late 2025

The Kia K4 Hatchback brings added cargo versatility to the K4 lineup for Canadian drivers.

The design of the K4 Hatchback shares the sedan's front-end lighting signature while establishing its own identity with a distinct rear profile.

Practical Space Solutions

The K4 Hatchback achieves impressive interior spaciousness despite its compact exterior dimensions. The design team preserved the sedan's rear legroom while adding an extra inch of rear headroom, resulting in measurements that led to the compact segment in both categories. This accomplishment becomes more notable considering the hatchback's overall length measures 11” shorter than the sedan.

The rear cargo area provides 628.6 litres of storage behind the second row, expanding to 1,680 litres when the rear seats are folded. This configuration accommodates larger items that wouldn't fit in a traditional trunk, from outdoor equipment to furniture. The wide-opening rear hatch and relatively low load floor height reduce effort when loading heavier objects.

Performance Characteristics

Two distinct powertrain options address different driving priorities. The standard 2.0-litre engine produces 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque, delivering balanced performance through an intelligently variable transmission. For drivers seeking more responsive acceleration, the turbocharged 1.6-litre engine generates 190 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque, channeled through an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The GT-Line trim enhances driving dynamics through specific suspension tuning that provides more immediate responses to steering inputs while maintaining ride quality. The reduced overall length improves maneuverability in urban settings, with a turning radius that facilitates easier parking in tight spaces.

Integrated Technology

The dashboard houses an available display system spanning nearly 30”

Digital Key 2.0 functionality transforms compatible smartphones into virtual keys that can lock, unlock, and start the vehicle. This technology enables secure vehicle sharing without transferring physical keys, adding convenience for households with multiple drivers.

Driver assistance systems start with 11 standard features including Lane Keeping Assist and Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go capability. The optional Highway Driving Assist 2 reduces driver workload on compatible highways by maintaining lane position and appropriate following distances.

The available 360° Surround View Monitor provides comprehensive visibility when maneuvering in tight spaces.
